Developed in collaboration with Shreya Bapta, this project examines how sound shapes the experience of transit systems beyond movement and efficiency. It treats the sonic environment as a designed condition that influences perception, stress, and orientation.

The project proposes an intervention in the form of an app that registers pre-conscious sound cues for navigation. Rather than relying solely on visual or textual guidance, the system uses ambient sound patterns to support intuitive wayfinding, allowing users to move through transit spaces with greater clarity and reduced cognitive load.
